UNITED STEELWORKERS LOCAL 1-1937

Working to improve the lives of working Men, Women and their Families in Coastal British Columbia

This past weekend, July 14th., 2017  the WOS attended the Loggers Sports event in Powell River.  I am happy to report that it was a huge success!

We were able to raised $1,270.00 for the grace house from face painting and raffle ticket sales.  Along with the Sales we were able to meet and educate Local citizens  on our Working Forest Campaign and got a whopping  SIX pages of signatures!  The amount of support for the Working Forest was absolutely amazing.  People were signing and calling their friends over to sign.  One retiree had his whole family grandchildren and all, line up to sign. It definitely was the right place for a Working Forest Campaign Petition.

In closing I wanted to again just say Thank you to you all, We couldn’t have done it with out all of your support! so thank you all very much.

In Solidarity
